We accept returns for products purchased from Aveda Online Canada only, and all returns are inspected upon return. Products purchased from Aveda Online Canada must be returned in new or gently used condition and within 60* days from date of purchase. Additionally, returns of items that qualified for a free promotional item(s) must be returned with the free promotional item(s). Please note: Items noted as final sale or not-returnable are not eligible for exchange or return. Aveda Online Canada monitors return activity and reserves the right to deny returns that, in its sole discretion, do not meet the return policy requirements, in instances of abuse, or for items that were re-sent at no cost in a good faith gesture following a report of non-receipt.
*Refunds for returns received after 60 days are not guaranteed and will be made at the sole discretion of Aveda Online Canada. If issued in these instances, Aveda Online Canada has the right to provide the refunded amount in the form of an electronic gift card or a refund check.
For items returned within our returns policy, the purchase price will be refunded to the original form of payment.

Please include the original packing slip or a copy of your order or shipping confirmation email. To protect against package loss and to ensure prompt delivery, we recommend shipping your return package via insured FedEx or Canada Post Ground. You can return items purchased online to Aveda Stores in Canada (excluding Aveda Salons).

Return/Exchange FAQs
How long will it take to receive a credit for my returned items?
Once received, return packages are processed within 2 business days. A return credit confirmation email will be sent when the return has been processed. The time to post a credit to your account can vary and is determined by the issuing bank. Please contact the issuing bank for details.
When I exchange an item there are two transactions on my credit card - can you explain?
When an exchange is requested it is completed in two steps:
1. A credit is issued for the item(s) returned 2. A new order is processed for the item(s) requested in exchange
Two transactions will be posted to your account; a credit for the returned item(s) and one charge for the item(s) requested in exchange.
Please note that billing for the exchange item is subject to payment authorization and once authorized and shipped, it will post immediately to your account. While both the credit transaction and the billing transaction for the exchange occur simultaneously, it may take longer for the credit to post to your account depending upon the issuing bank’s processing times for credits.
I ordered/received the wrong product, should I return it?

My item arrived damaged. What should I do?
If you received damaged merchandise, please retain the box, packaging and all contents and contact us as soon as possible at 1.800.644.4831 for assistance.
Can I return a gift that was purchased from Aveda Online Canada?
Yes, we accept gift returns. Return credits are issued to the original form of payment used for the purchase. The gift-giver’s credit card account will be credited for the returned item(s). If you prefer that your gift-giver is not alerted to the return, please call us at 1.800.644.4831and we will be happy to assist you with other options.
Damaged Items
When your order arrives, please inspect the package for any damage that may have occurred during shipment. It is normal for the shipping carton to show some wear, however, if damage occurred to the item(s) in your shipment, please retain the box, the packing materials, and the items inside and contact us immediately for assistance via phone at 1-800-644-4831. If you are unable to retain the contents due to the extent of damage, handle with care to take a photo of damaged item(s), and then safely discard of the damaged contents.
Note: Aveda Online Canada monitors claims of lost, missing, wrong and damaged items for abuse. Lost, missing, wrong and damaged items must be reported immediately upon receipt of the shipment, and any damaged, wrong, missing items must be retained (including the shipper). Aveda Online Canada reserves the right to limit or deny the reshipment or credit of an order/item in all instances.
